"We went for laksa and fish and chips, and we were not disappointed. These simple dishes were excellent: the shrimps in the soup were very fresh, good size, the fish and chips were like original made in UK. Super happy with the service . Very friendly . "We stayed at Doubletree Penang in July 2022 for 3 nights and had our breakfast every morning at Makan Kitchen. I love the variety of the daily spread. From Salad, Malaysian cuisine, pastries and beverages, satiating different preferences of patrons. A great thank you to all the friendly and attentive Makan Kitchen and hotel staff. And Usa who went out of her way to give us a cake and Tambun cookies, which made our stay at Doubletree Penang a memorable one. Would love to return soon one day, Insha Allah."

They featured series of dishes from satay, BBQ station, nasi kandar, nasi minyak, nasi ayam, mee station, seafood station, dessert station (variaties of bubur, pesembur, kuih melayu), bubur lambuk. Simply tasty & mouth watery to fillup your Ramadhan craving. Amazing lively stations. Great dining ambiance. Kudos to Executive Chef Addy and Makan Kitchen team."

"I had the MK cheeseburger for dinner and it was so delicious and generous in portion. Meat was tender, juicy with the tasty caramelised onions. The next day, I had the breakfast buffet and enjoyed the morning spread as well. Kudos to your team."

"The staffs were efficient and helpful especially during peak hour breakfast buffet. But the (one particular) supervisor needs to learn to control their temper by not scolding the staff in front of the guests. But we loved the food varieties here."
